My dearest friend Julie came in from L.A. this week. It was the nicest week I’ve had in a long time. There is nothing in this world that can replace the value of a good friend. We’ve been like glue since we met something like 16 years ago. Even though most of our friendship has been lived out over phone calls and through social media, since moving away after high school, we haven’t missed a beat. We are still going strong and every time we get together it’s as comfortable as ever.
Since the time we lived together downtown for a couple random semesters during college, Salt Lake City has changed drastically. So I took her exploring. We hit up City Creek and Main St. then ventured down a few other streets here and there. Jonah was a champ and even though we kept him in the stroller nearly the entire time, he just chilled and took in the sites happily.
We stopped in at Eva’s bakery. It was a dream. So charming like I couldn’t believe. I have three words for you “caramel bread pudding.” Amazing! I’m excited to have something new to share with my hubby when he returns – he’s the one that introduced me to bread pudding in the first place.
