A glimpse is really all we got of this big city. A half day was all we had once we got into the city. We were staying in New Jersey and decided (for whatever reason, I don’t even remember) that driving into the city was the best idea. Hello traffic. And then we were limited on our parking time, so though we had a good full afternoon and evening, there was so much more that we would have liked to see – Mahonrri especially – but since this wasn’t my first time here, I was content with our experience – and hey, there’s always next time!
We started off with a walk along the High Line, then continued up 5th Avenue to Central Park, and then finished in Lincoln Square. Jonah LOVES crowds so he was perfectly content just people watching from his stroller, but he was lucky enough to have a daddy who wanted to carry him and chase him around.
Watch out! My son will snatch your monies! Haha I actually play it out in my head what that guy would have done if Mahonrri hadn’t stopped Jonah (because we all know that I was too busy taking pictures of my thieving son to intervene). I wonder if we had played the clueless parents, if he would have done anything… I’m sure these things have happened before, but I certainly would have like to have a front row seat to it.
Okay, this guy was just crazy… I’m sure it was the silver hair that threw me off, but I was continually concerned about him breaking a hip if anything should go awry.
Giant bubbles! J was amazed and had a blast. Until he slipped on the soapy concrete and ate it… ouch.
Well hello Mahonrri. Smile a little? Sure looking like you are loving life right now. And then with that mustache… You know, we have so few pictures of all of us together – I mean, finding one to put in a Christmas card this year was a ridiculous challenge – so thanks M. Don’t be surprised if you feel a sharp pinch in your side next time <3
